THIS IS WHAT THEY SAY.....The Band had success during the early 90s, and following a victory in a Melody Maker promoted competition ,secured a support slot at Clapham Common Festival, supporting amongst others skunk Anansie.
This resulted in gigs in the the vibrant London scene for Vince Powers at The Mean Fiddler,The Borderline, and 12 Bar club, then Appearing on National TV, and at numerous events throughout their favorite haunts in Europe.
Whilst being championed by such heavyweights as Mark Ellen of The Word magazine, Bob Harris, Steve Lamacq and Johnnie Walker on Radio 2, playing Glastonbury, Edinburgh and many other Festivals on a regular basis.
Promotion by the Rembrandt label and the release of their new Album "Then Suddenly" has ignited renewed interest in the band, and rekindled new interest with many again stating ‘ they are ahead of their time’ with their unique sound, and exceptionally original approach.
The re-launch is well overdue, and much appreciated by many ardent fans who are glad to see their return.

'The Loosehounds are a well-oiled machine capable of consistently impressing while surprising with the unexpected spark of brilliance.' R2 Jan 2010
"Have you ever found yourself frantically searching for a notepad after hearing a great new tune on the radio? Only to find that you have forgotten it by the time you put pen to paper. Well the Loosehounds may be just the group you're looking for.
Instantly memorable songs and exquisite arrangements seem to combine effortlessly. They conjure a primitive back to basics unplugged rock which moves your feet as well as your head, it's hard to argue with their social sloganeering too which moves beyond political to the humanist.Totally original."Simon Jones Folk Roots Magazine(read less) |
